Gator Gift Fund

The Gator Gift Fund was created a few years ago, by parent council, as a way for the parents to collectively thank the ENTIRE faculty & staff of RCDS. While your child spends much of their time with their grade level teachers, they also interact with the kind and caring larger community of the school. Whether it be the janitorial staff, specialty teachers in art, music, shop, gym, the security staff or the dining hall crew, your child is positively impacted by this larger community. The Gator Gift Fund is an opportunity to say thank you to ALL of them.

How it Works
All funds collected are divided equally among the members of the faculty & staff and distributed at two different events throughout the year: The Faculty & Staff Holiday Luncheon hosted by Parent Council on December 7th and the Faculty & Staff Appreciation Lunch in May. Your one-time contribution covers both of these events and demonstrates our heartfelt thanks to these special individuals.

What to Give
Even if you choose to give small individual tokens of appreciation to specific teachers, your gift to the fund goes to thank many people you may not be able to recognize individually. Many parents ask for a contribution guideline. Last year we received 210 individual contributions ranging from $50 to just over $2,500 with the average gift about $140. We would love to have 100% family participation. Therefore we appreciate any amount you’d like to contribute to this fund.
