Truly Great Education Supports

The Whole Child

RCDS understands when a headache is more than just a headache. Our emphasis on social-emotional learning and health and wellness fosters a safe environment that meets the needs of the whole child. We are there for each student, whether they need a Band-Aid, a friendly chat, or a session with our School Counselor. Because we are a family-oriented community, no one is invisible at RCDS, and students feel comfortable seeking support from adults they already know and trust.

Our School Nurse and School Counselor collaborate with school administrators and partner with our families, students, faculty, and other members of the health-care community to promote student health. Please see below for helpful resources recommended by our experts in health and wellness.

“One of my favorite quotes, 'What I am is good enough, if I would only be it openly.' speaks volumes to the power of counseling. Being able to offer a safe space for students to explore their thoughts and feelings, can instill inner strength to help them chase after their dreams and pursue the best versions of themselves."Sarah Fichtner
