Virtual Summer Camp
Virtual Early Childhood Summer Camp: Pre-K-Beginners (Kindergarten)
Four days a week, Monday-Thursday, from 8:30AM to 10:30AM for four weeks this summer.
Each week will have a dedicated theme. Participants may choose to attend one or more of these topical programs to engage in from the comfort and safety of their home. This program has been designed to be user friendly! Each week a bag full of supplies and fun surprises will be provided. Materials in these bags make it easy for our youngest learners to participate from a distance with minimal support from you, the parent. Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Bogdon, and Mrs. Ligot will provide stories, songs, thematic projects, yoga, and Spanish daily. Enrollment is first-come, first-served, and class size is limited to 12 students per session to ensure the program is most effective for this age group.
Virtual Gator Makers Summer Camp: 1st-5th Grade
Five days a week, Monday-Friday, from 9AM to 11AM for six weeks this summer.
Coding, rockets, water games, magic, and 3-D printing! These are just a few of the activities Summer Gator Makers will experience as they exercise skills to engineer their dreams into reality. Each week will introduce a unique theme that will integrate a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) inspired design-thinking activity with an art project and writing experience. Gator Makers will be inspired to create, construct, problem-solve, discover, and persevere. All camps are taught by highly experienced staff including RCDS faculty and guest instructors.* Join our very own science guru, Mr. Young, the fabulous artist and teacher, Mrs. Petersen, and guest instructor, Mr. Z., former senior editor for the Associated Press and children’s book author for the opportunity to explore, discover, make connections, enhance skills and avoid the summer slide.
*Please note all employees have completed a background check.
