Why Give
Every donor has his or her own personal reasons for
supporting RCDS. Some are concerned with the economics of running one
of this nation's finest independent elementary schools. They give to
help RCDS to keep up with the rising costs of quality; leadership in
education requires financial commitment.
Their gift supports
the people and programs that make RCDS special. This means dedicated
faculty and excellent materials and resources available for our faculty
and students. Parents give because they know that their gift will
benefit their own children's education right away.
RCDS Alumni
give because they are grateful for their own experiences at RCDS; they
treasure the friends they made and the education they received. Past
and present RCDS parents give to keep the School strong - now and into
the future.
But all of us give because we know that Annual Giving is the difference between mediocrity and excellence at RCDS.
Ways of Giving
There are many ways your support of RCDS can make a difference to the students, faculty and to the future of the School.
Cash/Check
Please make your check payable to The Rumson Country Day School.
Credit Card
A
quick and easy way of giving. Please provide your Mastercard or Visa
credit card number, expiration date, and signature on cards via mail.
Gifts of Securities
Many
donors choose to make current gifts in the form of common stock or
other securities, which may have added benefits for the donor. Gifts of
appreciated securities can offer you significant tax advantages. Please
direct inquiries about these gifts to Joanna Cambareri in the Development office at jcambareri@rcds.org.
Matching Gifts
Under
a corporate matching gift program, gifts made by a company's eligible
employees to the nonprofit organizations that meet the company's
guidelines are matched with company or corporate foundation funds. RCDS
credits the parent when identifying gift levels. For example, a donor
who gives $750 and files a one-to-one company match claim within the
same fiscal year is recognized at the Scholar’s Society Leadership
Level for a total gift of $1,500 for that fiscal year. Contact your
company's Human Resources department for eligibility and guidelines.
